NSCF CHESS CAMPS

Each year the NSCF produces several weeks of fun and educational summer chess camps for students of all abilities. These camps help prevent summer learning loss. More competitive chess players benefit from having a concentrated exposure to chess over a week, or several weeks. For 2024, we will again have 5 weeks of summer camp beginning in late July.

BRINGING CHESS TO GENERAL INTEREST CAMPS

Each summer the NSCF partners with Parks & Recreation Departments and other community organizations in New York, Connecticut and Florida to incorporate chess into their summer programming. From Kindergarten to Middle School, one or more days a week, you can see from these photos, chess is a lot of fun. When there are going to be a lot of campers, training the camp staff to assist our instructors helps us keep the costs down and ensure no one who wants to learn is left out.
